You will provide civil/mechanical engineering support for a variety of projects which may include planning, evaluation, design and construction related activities for wastewater, water and storm water conveyance systems, pumping systems and related facilities.

Detailed Description:
Under the supervision of senior staff, you will provide support on a variety of engineering projects with a focus on facility planning, design and construction. Specific duties may include the following:
Perform engineering work with the various civil, mechanical and process engineering groups
Work on engineering designs preparing reports, construction plans, specifications, calculations, equipment selection, and cost estimates for various projects under supervision
Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing
Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
Assist with studies, field testing, pilot testing and alternative analysis
Data collection, manipulation, analysis, and documentation
Prepare spreadsheets, documents, drawings and maps (in AutoCAD and/or ArcMap/GIS)
As needed, participate in business development pursuits by supporting internal client service teams.
Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams under other disciplines (drafters, designers, and subcontractors).
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field required; Master's degree preferred
EIT Certification (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) preferred
Experience and/or coursework in hydraulics and/or wastewater treatment preferred
Two to three years of professional experience with evidence of increasing responsibility in the design of water and wastewater facilities, preferred, but not required
Experience performing field engineering evaluations of wastewater treatment facilities is preferred, but not required
Experience related to on-site engineering during construction and/or construction observation is preferred, but not required
Should be versatile and interested in working on a variety projects supporting Engineering Services
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) preferred
AutoCAD and ArcGIS skills, preferred
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Ability to wear required safety equipment at sites including hard hats, steel toed boots (or other approved toe protection), etc.
