Civil Structural Engineer Jobs description
The functions of a civil structural engineer consist of preparation of civil and structural designs and specifications and management of on-site construction works and producing technical reports of the project. A civil structural engineer should ensure that the on-site construction work comply with local regulations and contract requirement. He has to liaise with local authorities and clients for the project. A civil structural engineer should develop and ensure the timely submission of the projects keeping into consideration the quality, costs and risks and budget. He assists the project manager in tender evaluation and approval . It is the responsibility of a civil structural engineer to ensure that the project is being implemented in compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.A bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is required for this position along with experience in the use of structural analysis and design software i.e. 3D modeling skills, good interpersonal and communication skills and an eye for technical detail.
