Candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing structural design documents of facility and bridge projects for compliance with applicable code and technical standards. The objective is to build and maintain a positive client relationship, and to achieve or exceed the estimated profit margin for the project.
Structural PM Responsibilities:
Assist with project management of design and planning projects.
Perform and review structural engineering activities such as: Structural Analyses
Structural Calculations
Drawings
Specifications
Reports and studies
Manage all activities related to project scope such as: Schedule
Costs
Quality
Communications
Resources
Procurement
Risk elements required to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in civil/Structural Engineering is required. Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.
Ability to become a Registered Professional Engineer in New York within five years.
Demonstrated working knowledge of NYC Building Code and AASHTO.
Experience with quality control processes for structural materials (concrete, steel, masonry, timber, etc.)
Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Project Manager on facility and/or bridge design/construction programs with construction value up to $5M, including conceptual programming, permitting, design and construction management.
Experience (5 to 10 years) with infrastructure/facility/building/bridge design and construction is required.
Knowledge of project management procedures (PMI), financial management, CPM scheduling, cost control and forecasting, communications, and document control.
Proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft Office products and the ability to become competent with latest Project management software and reporting systems.
Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written
