**Position Title** Transportation Engineer
United States of America - Michigan
The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Intermediate Transportation Engineer for immediate employment in the Grand Rapids, MI office. This position provides the opportunity to work on large, unique, and complex transportation projects in Michigan and throughout the country.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Using MicroStation and GEOPAK to develop roadway design plans, 3D design models, and specifications
Performing complex roadway design and documenting design decisions
Developing roadway construction cost estimates
Attending Client Meetings
Verifying that applicable codes and engineering standard practices are being met
Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria and using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications
Overseeing\\Managing certain aspects of design for roadway projects
Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent
5 years of related experience
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK
3D corridor Modeling using GEOPAK OpenRoads technology
Design experience with Michigan Department of Transportation projects
Familiarity with MDOT’s Standards Specifications for Construction and the development of MDOT Special Provisions
Professional Engineer licensure in the State of Michigan(or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire date)
