PROJECT ENGINEER Smart Talent is seeking experienced Project Engineers for a client in Woodinville. This position entails planning, organizing and estimating projects using Microsoft Navision and RFMS Estimating Software. You will be assisting the PM’s by coordinating team activities, including but not limited to: materials submittals and procurement, working with the logistics department, shipping & receiving plans, client relations, some onsite job-walk duties and general project productivity. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, organized, motivated, flexible and professional. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to adapt quickly. Prior experience in commercial construction preferred but not required. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR CIVIL ENGINEERSThis is a Direct Hire opportunity for the right person. Salary is $45,000k - $55,000k DOE.If you have experience with estimating with RFMS or have a flooring background the salary might be higher. Fully stocked kitchen and dog and kid friendly environment.JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES Essential Duties will include assisting with estimating, submittals, purchasing, reports, working on O&M manuals and working with other departments such as PM’s and PA’s and warehouse. You will be utilizing Outlook frequently as well. The Project Engineers will support 2-3 PM’s.Your duties in this position will include, but not be limited to:Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.Receiving requests for estimating; gathering necessary information from external sources in electronic and\/or paper format to establish the project in the company-standard project filing system.Assist Project Manager by sourcing materials, using drawings & totals to acquire vendor pricing.Create change order proposals as needed.Assist in obtaining documented client approval for change orders as well as initial orders.Creating submittal packages for clients from specified materials. Including closeout\/warranty data. Obtain approvals prior to ordering.Create Purchase Orders from verified materials required for project, ensuring on-time delivery to meet project schedule.Organize & implement best-cost freight options for timely arrival of material within project budget guidelines.Tracking of incoming orders according to project requirements.Match order confirmations with Purchase Orders, provide approvals to A\/P.Communicate with Warehouse for new Purchase Orders.Maintain Material PO\/Pick Ticket System, coordination of Driver for Material Pick Up and Deliveries for efficiency and cost savings.Maintain Job Board with updates of Schedule, Materials, overall Progress,Performing basic office and clerical duties as needed for special projects and daily operations. EXPERIENCE 2-4 years in the construction field in an Administrative or Project Coordinator role is required or a combination of 2-4 years of school and practical experience (Degree is not required)Must have commercial construction experienceMust have experience handling submittalsIntermediate to advanced computer skills - Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and OutlookMust have experience with some type of estimating softwareeMicrosoft Navision \/ RFMS software experience is a plusAbility to wear multiple hatsSpeaks fluent English. Good written and oral communication skills.Ability to communicate confidently and effectivelyHas good math skills.
