HDR is currently in need of a Water/Wastewater Designer / EIT to work as a member of the Water Business Group in our Fulton or Vienna office. The successful candidate will be expected to work as a team member for detailed design and construction services for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and collection/distribution systems. Tasks will include: process and hydraulic calculations, preparation of design drawings, technical specifications, equipment selection, and cost estimation. Work will be performed under supervision of a Professional Engineer with progression into project management and client development services.

• BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or water engineering related field required. • EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of Water/Wastewater Designer and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.• The ideal candidate shall be self-motivated, an excellent communicator (written and spoken), attentive to detail, able to work independently and with a project team to the completion of a task. • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Preferred Qualifications• MS preferred• Some designing/creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater treatment projects as well as wastewater treatment plant, pipeline and pump station projects beneficial. • Preference given to local candidates
