WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Bridge Engineer

for our Indianapolis, Indiana

office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead design, plan development tasks and perform structural analysis and design with a concentration on Indiana highway structures

Manage projects from conception to construction

Mentoring, training and developing junior staff

Perform bridge related computations and analysis

Support and oversee the preparation of design plans, cost estimates and special provisions

Lead design meetings and coordinate with team members

Develop memorandums and other written technical documents

And other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

P.E. registration in Indiana and ability to acquire in other states

8 years’ experience in bridge engineering

Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design of various types of bridge structures

Accustomed to working in a team environment on challenging projects and leading design teams in delivering high quality projects

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is preferred

Complex Bridge / structural design and inspection experience are pluses

FHWA - NHI - Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges training and Fracture Critical Bridges Training are pluses
