AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Assistant Project Manager for immediate employment in the Coral Gables, FL office. The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water Resource Engineer for immediate employment in the Coral Gables, FL office.
Provides technical engineering information to company supervision and specialty contractors to ensure the project complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions. Reviews, analyzes and resolves field construction problems, discrepancies and interferences with architect/engineer, owner and/or specialty contractors. Performs all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company's culture, corporate vision, ethics and code of conduct.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Working under a Senior Project Manager and part of two person team: Full Owners Representative Program Management Platform including: Management of the Architects, Civil Engineers, Design, and Permitting Processes in multiple building departments around the State of Florida
Management of the sponsoring hospital Points of Contact
Heavy data entry into the owners online project Management software Ebuilder. This is a must priority attribute as every management process is entered into Ebuilder including contracts, RFI's Change Orders, Pay Applications of all vendors, medical Equipment, IT; Schedule dates, etc.
Ability to handle very many simultaneous projects in various phases such as: Real estate; Design; Permitting; Construction; and Closeout
Attend Monthly OAC meetings at Project Site, and Attend weekly check-in calls for every project in every phase
Scheduling and Management of all meetings and conference calls is required
Bachelor Degree in Construction Management
3 years construction engineering experience in the field as Project Engineer, including co-op or intern experience.
Working knowledge of assigned discipline design and overall engineering standards is necessary.
Knowledge of construction codes mandatory. LEED certification required.
Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others a must.
Ability to read plans required.
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required
Prior owners rep experience highly preferred
