Position Description Responsible for assisting in and performing property loss investigations related to residential and commercial structures, as well as preparing technical reports for clients. Will assist in planning, managing and coordinating activities for assigned projects to ensure that goals/objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or with the assistance of Staff Consultants, Senior Consultants, and/or Senior Managing Consultants. Responsibilities include: u2022 Assists in preparing and reviewing project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, appropriate procedures to accomplish the project tasks, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. u2022 Confers with project team members to outline work plan and to assist in performing duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. u2022 Assists with directing and coordinating activities with project personnel to ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within prescribed budgets. u2022 Assists in performing field inspections of residential, commercial, marine transportation and industrial structures, etc. to determine cause and origin of reported or suspected damages, as well as condition evaluation assessments. u2022 Assists in preparing technical, project related reports for clients as required. u2022 Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. u2022 Assists in preparing and conducting well-developed and well-prepared client presentations and technical conference presentations. Position Requirements Work Experience: Performing field investigations, structural inspections, structural analysis, structural design, technical report writing and preparations, and general familiarity with residential, commercial, marine, transportation and industrial construction is preferred. Travel will be required approximately 25-30% of the time. Education Requirements: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University; Masters degree is preferred. Computer Skills: Intermediate/advanced skills in Excel, Word, Auto CAD, SAP, STAAD, various structural software, andu00a0Internet software skills. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: EIT registration working toward eventual PE registration in the state of Florida, or certification by reciprocity.
