is looking for a Project Engineer
to join the Environment Team. Our Cazenovia, NY office is made up of over 100 vibrant professionals who collaborate across a diverse range of engineering, environmental and construction projects. Our engineers and scientists design robust, cost effective and scientifically based solutions for our clients. We work with solid waste authorities, local/regional/state governments, private waste companies, energy corporations, planning authorities, legal firms, waste facility operators, and companies planning solid waste management related projects.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
Providing engineering design and consultation relative to civil/environmental/solid waste related projects
Ability to work independently on technical assignments with minimal supervision, but asks questions or solicits advice as necessary
Providing technical oversight of engineering assignments for Junior Engineering staff
Coordination of technical support for various team projects
Strong focus on teamwork and accountability to project schedules and budgets
Serving as a technical resource for team. Remaining current on changes in technology and design approaches as disseminate information to team
Assisting with project design activities and perform design calculations, including gathering and compiling data
Collecting, analyzing, summarizing and reporting client data of various types
Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Working effectively in a team environment
Understanding client needs and resolve any issues of project scope with the project manager
Performing various field work activities including data gathering, inspections as needed
Ideally we’re looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree a plus
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York
4 - 8 years of municipal/private solid waste/environmental project experience
Strong technical background with solid civil design experience
Previous consulting experience strongly desired
Strong written and oral communications skills
