TELACU Construction Management is looking for an experienced construction Project Manager who will be responsible for managing large scale public works projects. The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience in public works construction with experience in creating and managing the overall project budget, schedule, bid documents, front end documents, design specifications, etc. This position will require knowledge in preconstruction services, planning, contractor procurement (public works contracting code), construction management, and project closeout.Duties:Reports to the Project DirectorDirect management of design planning and reviewPerforms constructability reviewsCreates the budgetCreates\/Maintains the schedulePerforms value engineeringReconciles the budget to the plansDirect management of the projectCreate bid documentsManage the bid solicitation processOversee the QA\/QC processProduce daily reportsPhoto libraryProcess RFI's and SubmittalsReview and Process\/Reject Change OrdersLead the weekly construction meetingsProduce meeting minutesAssign follow up tasksProject CloseoutDirect management of project controls\/ reportingWork with public agency personnel to plan, design, and implement their construction projectStrong knowledge of project development to include contracts, design, construction management, project systems, delivery, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirementsManage design and construction of public works construction and renovationsManage the inspection process and work with the inspector through design to closeoutPrepare and present to boards\/councils, when required.Develops project specific procedures, documentation, contract, and related A\/E systems for the projectCoordinate, direct, and monitor activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entitiesManage project controls, cost, and performance activities and proceduresLead in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statusesProvide management of project logistics, organization, systems, and personnel resourcesEnsure project closeout to secure appropriate provisions for final project delivery to owner entitiesPerform other duties as requiredQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or equivalent technical area of study.5 years of experience in the design and construction of public works projects.
