Project Engineer (s)
Project Engineers / Field Engineer(s) needed for heavy highway construction management. Our construction is self-performed and our sites are led by a Sr. Project Manager. We are a fast moving general contractor and must add to staff to keep up with current and new projects. Our project engineers and field engineers contribute to the building of Dept. of Transportation (DOT)highway and bridge projects which include excavation, grading, storm drain, erosion control, concrete and asphalt paving, box culvert, bridge type of work.
Project Engineer Responsibilities Include:
coordinating material procurement and delivery
producing project schedules
reviewing and determining suitability of shop drawings and submittals
quoting/qualifying subcontractor requests for change order
tracking status of change orders, tracking status of requests for information
maintaining project close-out documents
assisting with field supervision, quantity take offs, subcontractor coordination and other tasks as assigned to get project complete on time and on budget

Desired Skills and Experience
Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management
heavy civil construction, highway, road, or bridge experience required
computer software experience using spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling required
a minimum of 2-5 years’ heavy highway or bridge experience is required
