WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Supervising Civil Engineer
to support our Seattle, Washington
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a project manager, deputy project manager or task lead on projects
Lead teams of WSP staff and subconsultant staff to deliver high quality projects for our clients
Participate in Client Engagement Teams (CET) to support business development efforts
Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, engineering reports, technical memorandums, and other similar work products
Perform designs for highway and roadway projects for either traditional or alternative delivery projects.
Attend and participate in client meetings, team meetings, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Mentor junior staff

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program
Washington PE registration, or ability to receive within 6 months
Fifteen (15) years of roadway design experience including highways, local arterial streets, interchanges, intersections, Transit facilities, ADA pedestrian & bike facilities, channelization, signing, grading, utilities and traffic control
Five (5) years leading teams to deliver transportation infrastructure projects for public sector clients
Experience in roadway geometric design, design analysis, design documentation, and PS&Es of roadway projects
Working knowledge with local-agencies, AASHTO, MUTCD, ADA and State highway design standards as required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
Ability to provide creative solutions to unusual engineering challenges
Master of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program
Direct experience with WSDOT, Sound Transit, and the City of Seattle
Experience working on Design Build projects
Experience with Microstation and Inroads
