Primary Responsibilities
HDR is looking for a Project Manager/ Roadway Engineer to join our Transportation Group in Salt Lake City. This individual will:
Work as a key member of the team for moderate to large roadway projects and work independently on (manage) smaller projects.
Prepare or oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local, UDOT or AASHTO standards: Horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection design, interchange layout, and identify right-of-way needs.
Prepare and oversee the following elements of roadway schematics: Alternatives analysis, geometric problem solving, cost estimation, and 3D models.
Monitor project schedules and budgets
Could include preparing project scopes, budgets and schedules
Could include day to day communication (verbal and written) with the client support

','!*!Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
PE required and if registered with PE in another state, the candidate must gain Utah reciprocity within 1 year.
5-10 years of engineering experience, which must include roadway plans production.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Openroads Designer, Microstation, or other design software as appropriate.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be familiar with roadway/ highway design standards.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with UDOT processes including project delivery network, specifications and standards, and roadway design manual.
