Our St Louis, MO office is seeking an EIT to join our geotechnical group!\u00a0 Responsibilities include Perform geotechnical engineering design and analysis of foundation systems, retaining structures and slopes for transportation infrastructure projects, public and private clients, utility and other heavy civil projects. Provide geotechnical engineering support to other disciplines within Jacobs (Structures, Wastewater, Civil Design). Inspect geotechnical exploratory and construction related activities; specifically, develop and oversight of subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs, design and analysis of shallow and deep foundations including piles and drilled shafts, retaining walls, support of excavation systems, preparation of geotechnical engineering and foundation recommendation reports, preparation of geotechnical plan details, and field inspection of geotechnical and foundation related construction and testing activities. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering is required MS degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering is preferred At least a previous internship in geotechnical evaluations, soil and rock classification, design and analysis of foundation and ground retention systems is required At least a 3.0 GPA is required Must have flexibility to travel for office and field assignments.\u00a0 Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Registered Engineer in Training or able to obtain within 6 months of hire is required\u00a0 Experience with Ensoft LPile and Group, Geostudio Slope and Sigma, GRLWeap, Civiltech Shoring Suite, Bentley gINT, Bentley Microstation, and AutoCAD is preferred At Jacobs, we help prepare people for new opportunities and challenges.
