POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Civil Designer to work in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.

Technical Competency
Civil/Site Design and Construction     Beginner to moderate understanding of civil engineering infrastructure, sitework and environmental construction procedures, specifications, and materials
Beginner to moderate understanding of site layout, grading, drainage and storm water management design
Job Descriptions and Requirements    Basic understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D
Basic understanding of MicroStation to produce Civil Drawing Packages
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
Develop working knowledge of Industry and Client/Power Standards and Compliance
Job requirements are to assist project team in the development of the following project requirements:     Construction Specifications
Construction Drawings
Project Estimates and Schedules
Bills of Material
Piping and Equipment Assemblies
Other Engineering Design Deliverables
Quality and Efficiency    Adhere to POWER’s QA/QC procedure requiring accountability to enhance the project team’s success
Maintain a high level of quality and efficiency in alignment with project scope and budget
Project Aspect
Team Interaction     Participate in dialogue with project teams, ensuring project expectations are understood prior to task execution
Work Load Balance     Participate in weekly resource meetings to discuss upcoming project requirements and approach to be used to complete objectives
Communication     Coordinate with project teams on product delivery status in relationship to required due date
Clear communication of work schedule with project teams to provide confidence that project expectations will be met
Willingness to coordinate with other team members to meet project needs
Required Education/Experience
Associate or Bachelor's degree in applicable technical discipline or equivalent experience
AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010-2018 and/or MicroStation V8i/InRoads/OpenRoads experience
Must be flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needs
Willing and able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy
The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members
Desired Education/Experience
One to two (1-2) years of technical design experience
Recent experience using MicroStation (V8 or newer) is a plus
Good background in mathematics
Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems is a plus
