Job Summary

Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff.

Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.

General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Viewed as competent in all areas. Highest non-supervisory position.

May oversee work of junior-level technicians. Viewed as competent in all areas.

Minimum Requirements

Must Have Skills/Experience (Including any required Certifications):

Functional knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software

Computer Aided Drafting experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation

Ability to develop 3D surfaces, topographic grading plans, profiles, and cross-sections

Ability to develop earthwork calculations using Civil 3D

Ability to manage and produce construction plans for multi-disciplined projects

Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes

Excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment

Must have valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Computer Aided Drafting experience in Revit.

Experience with large and small civil/site development projects

Experience with the preparation of architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans

Additional comments:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Run models, calculations and design software for various water resources projects

Observe construction progress and assist in construction administration for municipal projects

Apply engineering principles to develop effective solutions

Perform standard computations and/or analysis

Acquire training in industry standard computer software (software may include, AutoCAD Architecture, Revit)
