Job Summary

In this highly collaborative role, the construction project manager is responsible for managing the tactical and strategic elements of the job lifecycle overseeing moderate to highly complex construction projects across multiple lines of business. The construction project manager is a strategic partner to the regional construction leadership while being a primary point of contact to several cross functional workgroups. The ideal candidate is data driven, cross function professional with laser focus on operational excellence, process iteration with an emphasis on simplification. The construction project manager manages multiple priorities and will create and distribute reporting summaries to all levels of the organization relating to production trending, risks to funnel and milestone health.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities


Responsible for the strategic health of overall assigned Line-of-Business or Businesses (LOB)

Manages all assigned projects to completion ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands and maintaining overall project ownership

Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning presenting solutions and/or options to executive management. Ensures effective implementation of solutions/changes

Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

The construction project manager is the owner of forecast activities and ensuring targets are met

Proactively oversee and communicate project status information in the form of executive summaries, formal briefings, project updates

Acts as a single point of contact for all internal **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. cross functional groups, and construction team processes

Resolve job escalations and conflicts within the organization inclusive of providing research and assistance to leadership in the development projects

Ability to lead through influence while maintaining the flexibility to 'work in the gray'

Provide an independent viewpoint, hold others accountable and push for more details when needed

Facilitate and lead meetings with other workgroups, projects and initiatives which may impact successful completion of project

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary

Highly Preferred


Knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) construction practices and procedures

Project management fundamentals

Basic financial analysis

Experience with working with utility companies

Experience with working with construction permitting within various municipalities

Process improvement and deployment

Bachelor's Degree

Relevant Work Experience

Salary:

Pay Range: $90,388.43 - $135,582.65
