Civil Engineer Jobs description
The essential functions of a civil engineer consist of planning and supervising the project, preparing detailed design of the project keeping in consideration the safety and environmental norms, the project’s compliance with the budget, time schedule and contract specifications as well as the local laws and rules applicable to the project and preparing contract documentation.A civil engineer should be thorough with modern principles and practices in civil engineering, survey methods and techniques and computerized mapping techniques and should be skilled at technical writing and technical based engineering calculations, application of mathematical concepts and operations, defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
A civil engineer is responsible for improving and ensuring safety and efficiency of road networks, finding solutions to solve transport problems and employing sophisticated equipment to execute complex work on water.
A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required for this position with experience in planning, designing and construction work along with very good project management, analytical and communication skills.
